there's no place in KL that Yips and I Ping can't reach

So yesterday was another boring weekday..Went to college in the morning as usual..Beng and I decided to go somewhere to have a proper lunch..So, he drove to KL Sentral and we took the monorail to Bukit Bintang to have our lunch in..................

THE SHIP!!
"The Best Steak In Town"

I thought this orchid is cute.. Even planned to curi it home... But the angelic side of me overcome my evil side... *grin*

As appetizer we ordered
Garlic Toast..
It was fantastic..The bread was crispy and the garlic smell and taste is just nice..Not too much not too little either...
YumYum...

Crabmeat Sweetcorn Soup..
I can only taste some seafood thingy instead of the crabmeat..
And the mixture of sweetcorn with the seafood doesn't go well toegther... :(

Hehe...I may look "sua pah-ish" but I think this is cute...
This is their help button...There's buttons for call, bill & water..
But service was not tat good...press for bill d have to wait so long... *gribfist*
Main Dish...
Sizzling Chicken Fillet...
It's one of the famous dish here...
Superb!
A-must-try dish
This salad comes together with the Sizzling Chicken Fillet

This is what i ordered.. BARNIE!! from the StoneAge Meal..
Yes..yes...I ordered cz of the name..
What??Cute mer...
They have a few different types of meat cooked on top of this hot wooden thingy..
It's so hot that it almost burnt my finger...grr...
The sauce was nice...
Mix the meat with the sauce n u get HEAVEN!!
This salad came with BARNIE...
Hehe...still feel the name is cute..

Drinks...
We ordered fruit juice..
Watermelon and Honey Dew..

I fell in love with this orchid...I don have the guts to curi the big orchid so i took the small wan..
The one the put on the drinks..hehe..easier to seludup into my bag!
And the total came up to RM 78.78...
What a nice number..
I guess it was worth..because the lunch could last me till the next day..which is almost 24 hours!
Should go there for a change n the atmosphere is very cozy & romantic! :)

Thursday night IPing and I went out to search for food (kononnya in Section 17 area lah..) But instead ended up in the outskirts of KL. I blame it on the misleading road signs where instead of leading us back to Bangsar, we were led to some housing area with a Bak Kut Teh shop. I'm not embarassed to say that I got lost (which I do pretty often- that's why Iping is there for...*thanks gurl* to lead the way ... ) because you yourself have also been in my situation ( be honest la...). In the end we ended up in Sunway's Ming Tien kopitiam

some pictures speak for themselves, so no caption needed.

I don't like my satay with fats though AdelB says that's the thing that makes the satay in Kajang so special.

Going back to Desa Kiara was another thing. At that moment the radio was playing Bon Jovi's "who says you can't go home?" -.-"

eventually we got home thanks to the NPE highway. The toll for that night alone costed me more than Rm3..

Wednesday 30/08/06
Discovered this place called Atria from Roberta. What we did there? (Prefer not to disclose until... you'll see) Couldn't decide where to have our lunch so we settled for a place which name caught our eye... CHocolate! {photographs taken by Roberta}

there's no place in KL that Yips and I Ping can't reach

Mondays are usually very hectic for me..classes from 10am to 12pm & 2pm to 5pm..3 hours of Biopsychology is so so torturing!!But today I only went for 1 hour lecture and I went home early!!Yippee..thanks to Lih Ying (coz she suggested to go home early!!)..We went home early to do our review but I was too lazy..So I was looking through some food blogs...N fuh...all the food was so so tempting!!I can only admire while drooling and stamping my feet saying "I wan I wan"..I was hungry and I thought by looking at those pictures it could at least make me "full" but....NO!!it did not help...at all!!not even a tinny little bit..
So Mondays as usual Beng will fetch me to Pasar Malam in SS2..Thanks to the tempting and seducing blog i saw earlier i was craving for ROASTED DUCK...And both of us landed ourselves in.....

PRINCE Cafe...
WHY??
Because according to ME...
"This shop looks like they have roasted duck...Come let's go in..Quick..QUICK!!"
*How on earth did i came out with the theory that they have roasted duck?Err..I have no idea!*

While lookin at the menu.
Beng: Told u d they won't have duck here...ish..
Mel: Harh??No duck??Let me see...
Not even a single word of DUCK in the menu??
Yer....Why like tat wan??
*sobsob*
Beng: Why don't u get something similar to duck?Like beef??
Mel: *faint* Beef?Similar to duck??Isn't chicken more similar??
Beng: Oh really? *emberassed*

No duck...no roasted duck...
All my hopes and dreams were crushed into pieces..
My life was so miserable when i saw the menu...without a single word of DUCK in it...
But....

No duck ler but He got me this...Some banana smoothie drink..
err....tasted kinda weird though...
Doesn't taste like duck at all!
Not even close to it..

Noodles + egg + ham + green peas + carrot + corn + some slightly spicy soup
I have no idea what is it called but it isn't the best of the best la...sekadar boleh telan la..

And this is some chicken chop plus rice..
It wasn't that bad though...But it was kinda dry..Have to curi Beng's soup to mix and eat it with my rice! *shy shy*

So sleepy until like that? While eating also can sleep?
Gosh...hello hello...bangun bangun..morrning d!!

After nicely "belasah"ing the meal...

What a waste of vege!!Beng....think of those Africans..they wana eat also don't get to eat..
Gara-gara Mikie's influence :)

So we then continue with our actual plan...Pasar Malam...
How can I go to Pasar Malam without buying any food rite? :)

Our all time favourite..
Keropok Lekor..

Popiah...
Btw..One portion of it is missing...As usual Beng was too hungry.. *shakehead*

Green Bean...Soup??He mengidam wana eat Tau Fu Fah but can't find any...So Green Bean also jadi la...
He ate the whole thing by himself...
No time to talk to me also... Was too into his Green Bean... *sobsob*

Just before going back home...
Hehe...forced him to snap this...
So anyway I came home with my stomach extra bloated and i guess i add on a few more kg's tonite...
But nevermind...the 30 hours Famine is just around the corner!!err...Yea yea...I consider 2 months as around the corner...So in the mean time I shall eat all i can!

One Noodle House In SS2
After having an improper lunch and a whole day checking out food blogs, I Ping and I couldn't withstand the hunger of having yet another Campbell's Soup for dinner. Instead, we drove ourselves to survey around SS2 area for food (besides hawker). As usual, both of us were indecisive when it comes to choosing what to eat so we just picked the one we thought had the most number of customers and landed ourselves in One Noodle House.

I Ping couldn't withstand the hunger any longer...

tersengih-sengih pulak budak ini... the place we sat on looked like a prison cell.

My food was the first to arrive... I called for Szechuan Duck Noodle because I thought it'd be something like Szechuan soup... manatau...

If I'm not mistaken, this is called tau eu cheou in Hokkien. The best tau eu cheou I've tasted is still the Dim Sum place in One Stop back in Penang. This one ain't spicy at all.

I had Ice Blended Kiwi *loves loves loves*

Had to wait patiently for I Ping's food to arrive.

I Ping's Char Siew Noodle. It's supposed to be La Mien but ain't La Mien noodles thicker than this??

Honey Lemon~~

Dengan tidak membuang masa... *FEAST!*

What we had wasn't filling enough so I influenced IPing to join me to have McDonalds afterwards...

Fries dipped in Chocolate Sundae = *love*

I Ping couldn't resist the temptation... *evil laugh*
and we went home with a hearty stomach.

there's no place in KL that Yips and I Ping can't reach

BBQ Buffet in Restoran Talipon
Had dinner with J and AdelB last night in Talipon(cute name, huh?) which was situated just opposite the Kelana Jaya LRT station. I've never rendered oustide the borders of PJ for food, and I should start looking real hard cuz I'll be spending the next two and a half years over here. I can't just survive on fast food. Any suggestions of nice food around here in KL?
^AdelB making preparations with her cooking skills
There was a variety of seafood to choose from (Bawal, Prawns, Crabs, Cuttlefish, etc) lots of poultry: Chicken, Pork, Lamb!! (I like...) Beef. Lots of frozen foods as well.
AdelB's speciality was the Lamb BBQ (the taste still lingers in my mouth). The beef was jun (couldn't find the English translation for the word. Reffered to IPing and she said Elastic!! )
I, on the other hand, was in charge of the 'satay' and the 'BaGua' which we couldn't get enough of. We went for three rounds of 'BaGua' itself.
We had our moments of hot butter sprinkled to our skin- stinging but all in all, it was worth the pain. The more pain you go through, the more appreciative you'll be of the outcome...

The After meal...

A peice of BaGua left for... the kitty which kept circling our table. Gosh, look at the amount of butter used! We better be keeping our cholesterol level in check!

The Lovely AdelB and I.

Me and J.

And the smiles on our faces reflect how fully contented our stomachs are! Thanks J for the dinner!
Wish me luck for my assignments and I will be waiting for your home cooked food!
